I’m currently reading two books that both challenge my mind and strengthen my faith. One challenges common assumptions about spiritual powers, and the other recenters our thinking on God’s authority and design.
Satan and His Friends: A Minimalist Approach for Believers by Edmond L. Gallagher
Read on Amazon
This has just been released, and Gallagher offers a thoughtful, biblically grounded study of Satan and demons that challenges the “maximalist” view, the tendency to attribute too much to Satan’s influence. He invites believers to return to the text itself with disciplined attention. It’s a refreshing corrective to a topic often surrounded by speculation. I’m hoping this one makes its way to Logos soon.
By What Standard?: God’s Worldโฆ God’s Rules
Read on Logos Bible Software
This collection explores how God’s standards shape every dimension of life: truth, morality, and meaning. It’s a timely reminder that the Christian worldview isn’t merely one opinion among many, but a call to live faithfully within God’s created order.
