No one: Hey, it would be fun to revisit your trip to Egypt, Jordan, and Israel in 2019. For the next few days, you should post letters describing each day.

Dear Friends,
I hope this letter finds you all in good health and spirits. As I journey through Israel’s remarkable landscapes, I am reminded of the richness of our biblical heritage and the profound lessons embedded within its history.
Today’s adventures took us to Ein Gedi, Masada, Qumran, and Jericho, each destination offering glimpses into the ancient stories that have shaped our faith. In Ein Gedi, amidst the desert’s stark beauty, we marveled at a waterfall, a refreshing oasis amidst the arid landscape. It brought to mind the words of David in Psalm 42, where he longs for God’s presence as the deer pants for streams of water.
Our ascent to Masada by cable car was a journey into the heart of Jewish resilience. Here, amidst the magnificent ruins of the fortress, we stood in awe of the courage of those who made their last stand against the might of Rome. It echoed the story of David and Saul in 1 Samuel 24, where David, despite having the opportunity to harm Saul, chose to show mercy and reverence for God’s anointed instead.
At Qumran, the caves where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered, we delved into the mysteries of ancient texts, marveling at their insights into our shared heritage. It was a humbling reminder of the meticulous preservation of God’s word throughout the ages.
As we journeyed through these historic sites, I couldn’t help but reflect on the profound interconnectedness of our faith. From the wilderness of Ein Gedi to the heights of Masada, each location bore witness to God’s enduring faithfulness and His people’s resilience.
As the day draws to a close and we return to Jerusalem, I am grateful for the opportunity to walk in the footsteps of our forebears and witness firsthand the places where faith and history intersect. May these experiences deepen our appreciation for the richness of our faith and inspire us to live lives worthy of the calling we have received.
With love and blessings,
‌~PW 🌮🛶
