Death is always at the door Over the last few days, our family has been minutes behind a number of horrible auto accidents, one included a fatality. One minute we are joyfully laughing and planning out our day the next it is total silence and fear. Normally, November and December flow from one family or church gathering to the next in our home, and yet these powerful reminders are echoing loudest for my heart. My prayer for today is that when the echo fades we all still live as men who know that the net will one day come for us too… ~PW 🛶🌮 ___ “For man does not know his time. Like fish that are taken in an evil net, and like birds that are caught in a snare, so the children of man are snared at an evil time, when it suddenly falls upon them.” (#Ecclesiastes 9:12, ESV) “And he said to them, “Take care, and be on your guard against all covetousness, for one’s life does not consist in the abundance of his possessions.”” (#TheGospelofLuke 12:15, ESV) ___ #Bible #Atlanta #NewnanGA #Newnan #SharpsburgGA #PeachTreeCity #Fayetteville #Georgia #Jesus #worship #seed #kingdom #blessed #freedom #churchofChrist #christian #biblestudy #JesusChrist #God #christianfamily #encouragement #Jesussaves

This Sunday @ Eastside 9:00 AM ~ A Song for the Future (#Deuteronomy 31:1–32:47) 10:00 AM ~ Paul in Ephesus, Baptism & Power 11:15 AM ~ How We Got The Bible ___ “And it happened that while Apollos was at Corinth, Paul passed through the inland country and came to Ephesus. There he found some disciples. And he said to them, “Did you receive the Holy Spirit when you believed?” And they said, “No, we have not even heard that there is a Holy Spirit.” And he said, “Into what then were you baptized?” They said, “Into John’s baptism.” And Paul said, “John baptized with the baptism of repentance, telling the people to believe in the one who was to come after him, that is, Jesus.” On hearing this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. And when Paul had laid his hands on them, the Holy Spirit came on them, and they began speaking in tongues and prophesying. There were about twelve men in all.” (Acts 19:1–7, ESV) ___ #Bible #Atlanta #NewnanGA #Newnan #SharpsburgGA #PeachTreeCity #Fayetteville #Georgia #Jesus #worship #seed #kingdom #blessed #freedom #churchofChrist #Christian #biblestudy #JesusChrist #God #christianfamily #encouragement #JesusSaves
